MISSION: TO PROMOTE LONG-TERM, RESPONSIBLE USE OF NATURAL RESOURCES THROUGH INFORMED MEMBERSHIP, EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY AWARENESS.
The Mid-Coast Audubon chapter, our local Maine Audubon chapter, extends inland from Boothbay Harbor, west to Windsor and China, and east along the coast to Bucksport.
There are many chapter members outside of this area and throughout the country who prefer to be members of the chapter. Maine Audubon members can designate they wish to belong to Mid-Coast Audubon when becoming new members or renewing membership.
Membership benefits include: a subscription to Habitat, Maine Audubon's quarterly journal, and Mid-Coast Bulletin; discounts on Maine Audubon field trips and at Maine Audubon sanctuaries, nature centers, and nature stores; and a complimentary membership with National Audubon, including the opportunity to subscribe to Audubon magazine at a deeply discounted price.
