Chapter Officers, Directors and Committees

Please note: Chapter officers and members are not qualified nor equipped to personally handle injured or dead birds.

In the case of injured birds, please call a licensed rehabilitator near you and be prepared to transport the bird to the rehabilitator. In the Mid-Coast area, you may contact Dr. Susan Giglia in Nobleboro (563-5635) or Chewonki Foundation in Wiscasset (882-7323) or Avian Haven (382-6761).

It is illegal, by both state and federal law, to possess a migratory songbird or bird parts unless properly licensed.

Kindly give dead birds a burial. They would have been recycled naturally had you not found them.
